PRESCHOOL – School Readiness Program

Our two year school readiness program at Puddleducks consists of two groups: The Kookaburras and The Emus.

The Kookaburra group is the next stage at Puddleducks, where the children will learn through play whilst enjoying the beginning of a structured routine with their peers. 

They have developed self-help skills including toileting and are eager to participate in literacy, numeracy, and music group times. The children will experience more intentional teaching, with still a heavy emphasis on learning through play and fostering a sense of autonomy.

The Emu group is for children in their final year at Puddleducks, approximately aged 4 to 5.5 years old.

This final group at Puddleducks is a room dedicated to ‘school readiness’.  The Pre-School group will learn and play in an environment designed to challenge and inspire the next school generation. Our environment is designed to promote curiosity, and our educators will foster a love of learning in your child, whilst developing social and independence skills to ensure they are ready for their first year at school.
